About the Information Bay

The Mataranka Information Bay is a shared public space designed to provide clear and accessible information for people travelling through the region.

Signage Applications

Council accepts applications for new signage and annual renewals at the Mataranka Information Bay.

Applications are assessed individually in accordance with Council’s signage requirements, available space and suitability for the Information Bay.

Application Requirements

  • Applications must include a scale drawing of the proposed sign.
  • Council reserves the right to refuse any signage that does not consider appropriate.
  • Council reserves the right to approve, revoke, or refuse signage applications and authorisations.
  • An application for a prohibited sign will not be accepted.
  • Sign allocations are limited to 1m² per sign. 

Supply, Installation and Maintenance

Approved signage must be supplied by the applicant.

Roper Gulf Regional Council will install approved signage. Applicants are responsible for maintaining signage in good condition. Damaged or faded signs may be removed.

Fees and Permit Duration

The annual fee for Information Bay signage is outlined in the current Fees and Charges

Permits are valid for a 12-month period, commencing at the start of the financial year. Renewal applications are required annually. Pro-rata fees may apply for part-year approvals.

To apply for signage at the Mataranka Information Bay, please complete the Application for Information Bay Signage form and submit all required documentation for assessment.
