  • BBQ Family Area

    Date completed
    Works have been completed to install a family BBQ area in Jilkminggan, with thanks to funding provided by the Jilkminggan Local Authority.
  • Playground Softfall

    Date completed
    The installation of softfall at Manyallaluk playground has been completed. This project aligns with Roper Gulf Regional Council's strategic goal to foster increased participation in community activities, healthy lifestyles, and a safe living environment.
  • Anyula Street Upgrade Stage 1

    Date completed
    Upgrades have been completed in Borroloola on Anyula Street, from the intersection of Robinson Road. The works included implementation of a Kiss and Go area to foster safe access to the school, bollards, resurfacing, and improved drainage.
  • Aged Care/ Respite Centre

    Date completed
    Refurbishment of the Mataranka Aged Care/ Respite Centre is underway, including the fitting of a new purpose-built kitchen.
  • Playground Installation

    Date completed
    Roper Gulf Regional Council engaged works to install a new playground in Beswick. The playground shelter and the playground equipment have now been installed. This project was completed October 2022.
  • Playground Softfall

    Date completed
    The installation of softfall at Jilkminggan playground has been completed.
  • Multi-Purpose Sports and Recreation Court Upgrades

    Upgrades to the Borroloola Multi-Purpose Sports and Recreation Courts have commenced, with works to include foundation widening and resurfacing, construction of a shade structure, installation of lighting, and linemarking for multiple sports. Anticipated completion date is December 2023.
  • Waste Management Strategy 2022-2032

    The development of a 10-year Waste Management Strategy is underway, which is expected to provide clear strategic and operational guidance for the provision of services and investment in regional waste management facilities. Anticipated completion is December 2023.
  • Upgrade to Mataranka Public Toilets

    Works will commence at the end of November 2023 to fix all sewage systems in Mataranka. As a result of these works, all public toilets in Mataranka will be open and functional.
  • Barunga Statement Memorial & Way Finding Strategy

    Design plans are being developed for the construction of a memorial in Barunga. The design will communicate to young locals and visitors the important history of Aboriginal Land Rights and the Treaty Movement, with specific reference to the Barunga Statement. Anticipated completion of design
