Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably-qualified persons who are motivated to become an Independent Member of Roper Gulf Regional Council’s Finance and Infrastructure Committee.

Council has established the Finance and Infrastructure Committee pursuant to the Part 5.3 of the Local Government Act 2019 (the Act) to monitor and review the integrity of Council’s financial management, to receive and note its Financial Reports on the months that Council does not sit, and to provide revision and input on budgetary matters.

The Committee also receives and notes updates on Council and Local Authority projects, making decisions if so required, in the event that such decisions cannot be held over to the next Ordinary Meeting of Council.

Prospective applicants are invited to review the Committee’s Terms of Reference and submit their Expressions of Interest, outlining their qualifications and experience against the responsibilities and requirements of Independent
Committee Members prescribed in the Terms of Reference.

Persons with Local Government experience will be well received.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted with a current resume to the Chief Executive Officer, Roper Gulf Regional Council, PO Box 1321, Katherine NT 0850, or by emailing governance@ropergulf.nt.gov.au by close of business on Friday, 17 April 2026.
