By Laws

Council oversees five (5) enacted By-Laws:

• Borroloola Community Government Council (Garbage and Removal and Destruction of Animals) By-Laws 1989;
• Borroloola Community Government Council (Litter and Flammable and Noxious Weeds &c) By-Laws 1993;
• Borroloola Community Government Council (Control of Dogs) By-Laws 1992;
• Mataranka Community Government Council (Litter) By-Laws 1987; and
• Mataranka Community Government Council (Control of Dogs) By-Laws 1992.

Council is also bound by various legislative instruments of the Territory and Commonwealth including but not limited to:

• Information Act 2002;
• Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011;
• Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth); and
• Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
